Seattle Shenanigans

This is way past due, but it is a little post talking about a trip I took to Seattle, WA back in April. I needed another Co-Corricular to finish up my degree, and going on a service trip was one of the options. Who knew traveling to Seattle counted as a few credits?! Anyways, since I had such a fun time, I thought I would share some of the highlights of my trip with you guys!

So the first day we got to Seattle, we had couple hours to go explore before we went to the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). My friend Eric and I (you’ll see him in the video I have linked at the bottom of this post) decided to go shopping and check out Pikes Place Market. Pikes Place is hands down my favorite place to visit in Seattle! It’s filled with restaurants and shops, and has such a fun atmosphere. If you guys ever find yourselves near Pikes Place, make sure to stop by Pikes Place Chowder and get something to eat! I am not a huge clam chowder fan so I got the smoked salmon chowder, and you guys….it is SOOO good! We tried to go back a second time later in the week but it was so busy we weren’t able to get in.

Something a lot of people don’t know about me is that I really love art museums! I thinks they are so interesting, and I love being able to see so many different centuries of artwork all in one place. The Seattle Art Museum totally exceeded my expectations and was so awesome! Every month they have a different contemporary art exhibit and when we went it was the Kehinde Wiley Exhibit. It was so amazing and creative, I wish I lived there so I could check out the new exhibits every month! img_0534img_0569img_0574

The famous “Gum Wall”! It’s just as awesome as it is gross!

img_0738We also went to the EMP Museum which was my absolute FAVORITE! It was so much fun you guys, and I had no idea these kinds of places existed! There were so many fun things to see and do there, I was in heaven! They had private music rooms that you could jam out in. My friend Sam (who you will also see in the video) was killing me with how hilarious he was at singing and playing the guitar! If you are ever in Seattle, the number one thing I would recommend doing is going here! seattleI had the best time in Seattle and would go back in a heartbeat! If you ever find yourself in the area be sure to check out some of the things I highlighted in this post! I put together a video that I’ll link below for you guys to watch! Hope you all enjoyed this post, and give my video a thumbs up if you watch it:)

Love, Kaite.
