I Moved To Ireland

So, I moved to Ireland! I’ve been here only about eight days now, and I must say it has been one crazy week! One of my resolutions this year was to write a blog post every week, and as you can see, I haven’t quite gotten off on the right foot! I’ve been so busy here, as well as being sick for a few days, so the blog has gotten pushed back a couple days!

When I got to the airport the girls greeted me with hugs and  a big “Welcome Kaite” sign. It was actually the cutest thing ever! They also got a cake to celebrate, so when we got to the house we sang “Happy Birthday” (they knew it well so why not hah) and helped me blow out the candles. img_0039img_0038img_0064

I brought my polaroid camera with me and the girls have really loved playing with it! I snapped this cute pic of two of them the other day and they got so excited to watch it pop out of the camera and wait for it to develop!
Not the best photo, but this is a church I pass by whenever I take the girls to the library. It’s soooo amazing!!

It’s so different here, and definitely not what I had expected! I must say when I heard it was going to be 40 degrees I was happy because hey, where I’m from that’s not so bad! But here the climate is so wet, which makes 40 degrees feel much much colder:( It’s going to take some getting used to, but I’ll manage.

I planned on going into Dublin to meet a friend on Friday and Saturday, but I ended up getting sick early Friday morning so I decided to stay home for the weekend. There’s not a whole lot to do here, especially when you don’t really know anyone, so I ended up just going shopping at the mall one day! I’ve discoverd Primark/Penneys which is pretty much an Irish Forever 21! The shopping center being only a ten minute walk away could be dangerous….will power Kaite, will power!

I have plans to do some fun things next weekend so hopefully I will have a new post up with some pictures soon! I’m also going to try and take more photos of my day to day life here. I know sometimes it doesn’t seem that interesting to me because I see it every day, but I know everyone back home doesn’t get to experience it like I do. So I will try and take so pics of my “ordinary” for you guys and hopefully you’ll get to see what an average week looks like for me here!

It’s been a huge adjustment moving to Ireland, but I know this place will quickly grow on me! Please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question, I would love to hear from you all. Thanks for stopping by the blog!

Love, Kaite.
