Life Lately

I was just thinking today that I’ve now been living in Ireland for four months. Four months?! I remember doing a blogpost on my first month living in Ireland (here), and I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. I think it’s been about two weeks since I’ve written a new blog post and my first thought was “Wow I should apologize, I mean two weeks?! Come on Kaite!” But to be honest I’ve been feeling a bit unmotivated and uninspired lately. Not to mention extremely busy! I think it’s important for me to realize that blogging should be a fun way for me to share content with the world, rather than a demanding job that has to get done each week. I don’t ever want my blog to turn into that. I’m still taking some online classes through my college back home, so I’ve been studying hard the past couple of weeks so I can meet next weeks deadline! I have so much content that I want to put here on the blog, but I am in no rush right now! After Wednesday (last day of classes) I will have loads of time to blog! Okay that rant is over now, I just want you all to know that yes, you haven’t heard from me in a while, but I am okay, just taking a small break!

So, FOUR months! It just doesn’t seem like I have been here that long! I still remember the day I said goodbye to everyone and hopped on a plane for this crazy adventure! Sometimes I have to stop for a minute and take in the fact that I’m actually living in Ireland. I am absolutely insane for moving here, but it was the best decision I have ever made. I was so worried about making friends when I first moved here and now I’m wondering how I’ll ever say goodbye to all the amazing people I’ve met. I’ve put a bunch of random photos below of what I’ve been up to the past month or so. I’ve been having the time of my life here and I just thought I would share it with you all 🙂

My good friend Paul came all the way from NYC to visit and we went all around Ireland for a few days! He snapped this pic of me walking into a pub and I love it because I just look so chuffed! I mean, I really love Ireland you guys!

My favorite Spanish friend, Yaiza! Definitely the most chill person I’ve ever met and always a blast to be around. She’s leaving in June and I’m not sure what I’ll do without her!

LOVING Ireland!
You can’t tell in the photo, but it was pouring rain! But right behind me to the right is where part of Braveheart was filmed. So that was pretty cool!

What will I do when Celine leaves?! I knew we were going to be best friends the moment she told me she’s traveled around Asia. I’ve never met so many likeminded people in my life until I moved here and I absolutely love it! Here’s to many more adventures with this crazy German!
They got their faces painted at school and I just had to snap a pic! I just love them to pieces!

This is a special photo because here I am on an 18 mile bike ride. If you know me at all, you realize why this is a huge deal hahah!

We baked my dads favorite cookies (Snickerdoodles), and they loved it!

I let them do my makeup one day and they had a BLAST! I posted a little video of it on my Facebook, but I’ll link it down below as well!

Little model…
Because all of my friends were in English class this night and I desperately wanted Kanoodle! Homework and Kow Soi noodles….perfect match!
One of my friends finished her Cambridge Exam yesterday, so we went out to celebrate! Yay for Irish pubs!

I leave my phone on the table for one minute and these girls are already blowing up my phone with pictures! Gotta love them!

Thanks for tuning in you guys! I know I’ve been a little absent on the blog lately but I’m trying to get better at this! I hope you’ve all been enjoying life, and you’re just as excited for summer as I am! I also wanted to add in that I really miss everyone back home! If we haven’t spoken in a while, please don’t think I don’t miss you! I’ve been trying lately to get in touch with friends back home, but it’s been hard with the time change and everything! So if you ever just want to chat about what you’re up to or what I’m up to just shoot me a message on Facebook and I’ll be sure to set aside time to talk! I think life has just gotten so busy for me and I forget to catch up with everyone back home! Anyways, have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Love, Kaite.
