I’m 20 & a Bucket List

So, I’m officially in my twenties. How in the world did time go by so fast? I know I’m still super young, but I feel like I am supposed to be a real adult now. And I’m not ready!! I mean, at what age do you actually feel like a “grown up”? Turning twenty has been making me think about so many things lately. Specifically, about how quickly time passes, and just how short our lives really are.

In the Dublin Airport there are all of these little clouds with quotes on them as you are going to your gate. I always see so many quotes that I love, but this one in particular really resonates with me. “You know all those things you have always wanted to do, you should go do them”. I love this quote because it is so down right true. If I have learned one thing in the fast few years, it is that we are never promised another day. We are not guaranteed to see next year, next week, or even tomorrow. All we can do is live our lives with love, hope, and happiness. One of the things I always dreamed of doing was traveling. And, as a 19 year old just finishing her first year of college, it didn’t seem like an attainable dream. But because it was something that I wanted to do so badly, I did it. I did my research, I saved up, and I DID IT. My first time really traveling was when I went to Nepal. Now, a year later, I can’t imagine what my life would have been like had I not made the decision to follow my dreams. I hope that somewhere along this journey, I’ve been able to inspire at least one person to follow their dreams. To do what they’ve always wanted to do. There is no better time than now to live your best life.

So, with that being said, I wanted to share my bucket list with you all. I’m proud to have some of these checked off my list, but I have so many more things I want to see and accomplish in my lifetime. I know I will be constantly adding and (hopefully) checking off things on this list, but I just wanted to share some of my hopes and dreams with you.

Get as reasonable or as crazy as you want with it. They are YOUR dreams! And at some point by the end of this year, check at least one thing off of it. Because we should all be doing the things we’ve always wanted to do. The things we’ve always dreamed of doing. I’ve had the best 19 years of my life, and I only hope that I have many many more.

Thank you, to my readers, who know me or who don’t, for coming along on this journey with me. I hope you enjoyed this post, and are having the best Tuesday ever! Lots of love from this Birthday girl!

Love, Kaite.
