The Fantastic Five

Okay so todays post is a bit different than usual, but since I haven’t been doing a lot of cooking here, I’ve been dreaming about all the cooking I did (okay rarely) back home! I have a few recipes that I want to share with you here today that are seriously the best! None of them really go with each other either hah but that doesn’t matter! They are just things that friends, family members, and I really enjoy! Continue reading “The Fantastic Five”

August Recap

How am I doing an August recap right now? How is September starting this week? How have I been here for almost nine months? HOW, HOW, HOW?! I can’t even believe how quick summer flew by! I haven’t wanted to say on here when I’ll be back home (mostly because I’m not ready to have my heart split in two between Ireland and America), but it’s going to be really soon! Continue reading “August Recap”

The Best Week

This week was the best week! I got back from Amsterdam Saturday night (new post coming on that soon!), and on Sunday I had a picnic with some friends by the river. It’s been really hot in Ireland the past week (yes I consider high 70’s hot now hah), so I’ve been spending loads of time outside in the sun and I’m loving it! There’s a really great pub in Navan called the Bru House, and after our picnic we went there and just chatted for hours! My friend Yaiza is moving back home this weekend, so we’ve been trying to squeeze in as much time as we can before she leaves! Continue reading “The Best Week”

I’m 20 & a Bucket List

So, I’m officially in my twenties. How in the world did time go by so fast? I know I’m still super young, but I feel like I am supposed to be a real adult now. And I’m not ready!! I mean, at what age do you actually feel like a “grown up”? Turning twenty has been making me think about so many things lately. Specifically, about how quickly time passes, and just how short our lives really are. Continue reading “I’m 20 & a Bucket List”

Life Lately

I was just thinking today that I’ve now been living in Ireland for four months. Four months?! I remember doing a blogpost on my first month living in Ireland (here), and I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. I think it’s been about two weeks since I’ve written a new blog post and my first thought was “Wow I should apologize, I mean two weeks?! Come on Kaite!” But to be honest I’ve been feeling a bit unmotivated and uninspired lately. Not to mention extremely busy! I think it’s important for me to realize that blogging should be a fun way for me to share content with the world, rather than a demanding job that has to get done each week. I don’t ever want my blog to turn into that. Continue reading “Life Lately”

I Moved To Ireland

So, I moved to Ireland! I’ve been here only about eight days now, and I must say it has been one crazy week! One of my resolutions this year was to write a blog post every week, and as you can see, I haven’t quite gotten off on the right foot! I’ve been so busy here, as well as being sick for a few days, so the blog has gotten pushed back a couple days!  Continue reading “I Moved To Ireland”

Halloween Weekend

I keep seeing tweets about Halloween being a weekend this year rather than a day and I just laugh because it’s so true! I guess Halloween on a Sunday means we can celebrate it Friday and Saturday too. Hey, I’m cool with that! I had three different costumes for Halloween this year but only managed to get pictures of two of them. Continue reading “Halloween Weekend”

Backyard Croquet

So one night this summer a group of friends and I had a little yard game night. My friend Brandi seriously decked out her yard and hosted the best backyard croquet party I’ve ever been to (well also the only one I’ve ever been to)! We played lots of croquet (which I discovered I am terrible at), ate lots of food, and had lots and lots of laughs. My friends play a huge roll in my life, and being able to have little get togethers like these every once in a while is the best! Not to mention it was the perfect summer night!  Continue reading “Backyard Croquet”
