Back at the beginning of April, my friend Paul (who you may recognize from my New York City post back in November) flew over to Ireland for a few days over his spring break! It was so nice being able to see an old friend and be able to show someone around my new “home”. We had an intense couple of days traveling, Ireland, London, and our last stop Ibiza, Spain, but I’ll get into those in another post.
A few months back, my friend and I decided to book a trip to London. I knew that if I ever got the chance to visit the UK, I would not leave until I went to Harry Potter World. So, we booked our tickets, and two months later, here we are! And listen to me when I say this. Harry Potter World was hands down, one of the best places I have EVER been to in my entire life! WARNING: If you are not a Harry Potter fan and don’t want to listen to me go on and on about it, then skip this post, because that’s all it’s about! Continue reading “Harry Potter World In London”
So, I’m officially in my twenties. How in the world did time go by so fast? I know I’m still super young, but I feel like I am supposed to be a real adult now. And I’m not ready!! I mean, at what age do you actually feel like a “grown up”? Turning twenty has been making me think about so many things lately. Specifically, about how quickly time passes, and just how short our lives really are. Continue reading “I’m 20 & a Bucket List”
Dear Mom, Happy Mother’s Day.
Thank you for being the best mom I could have ever asked for.
Thank you for making me laugh.
for singing karaoke with me when I was little. Continue reading “Happy Mother’s Day”
I was just thinking today that I’ve now been living in Ireland for four months. Four months?! I remember doing a blogpost on my first month living in Ireland (here), and I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. I think it’s been about two weeks since I’ve written a new blog post and my first thought was “Wow I should apologize, I mean two weeks?! Come on Kaite!” But to be honest I’ve been feeling a bit unmotivated and uninspired lately. Not to mention extremely busy! I think it’s important for me to realize that blogging should be a fun way for me to share content with the world, rather than a demanding job that has to get done each week. I don’t ever want my blog to turn into that. Continue reading “Life Lately”
Hey there! Because I’m a little late on so many blog posts, I figured I would just throw this one in the mix and do the rest later this week! This weekend was the first weekend in months that I’ve had at home (in Navan), and it was so nice just getting to chill for a bit and hang out with some friends. I finally tried Kanoodle for the first time on Saturday night and it was the best! Ugh, I just can’t stop thinking about those Kow Soi Noodles, they were seriously sooo good! Continue reading “A Day In Bray”
Have I mentioned how behind I am on blog posts lately? I’m throwing it back to four weekends ago when I took a little trip over to Dun Laoghaire. Dun Laoghaire (pronounced “done leery”) is a little seaside town just south of Dublin. I had originally planned on going to Copenhagen, Denmark during this weekend, but after the stressful time I had getting home from Italy the weekend before, I just wanted to take a little break from airports! My friend Celine and I found a last minute deal at the Royal Marine Hotel, so we decided to head there for a couple days! The hotel had a big pool, jacuzzi, a sauna, and a steam room, and it was seriously the BEST! Nothing beats a relaxing weekend by the sea… Continue reading “Weekend Getaway”
Here I am again, a few weeks late! The past week and a half I’ve been away traveling and decided to leave my laptop at home. So now I’m back, and I figured I’d catch up on the loads of blogposts I have yet to post! Right after my trip to Paris last month, I had four more days until I had to be back to work, so I decided I’d just hop on over to Italy for a few days! I flew into Rome on a Friday afternoon and decided to do a little tour that night so I could get a bit of a handle on the city. I went on this free walking tour, and it was so nice! It was about two hours long and we just walked around the city and saw a lot of the main attractions and got some good recommendations on food and other things to see. Continue reading “When In Rome”
Hello again! It seems like it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post! Right after Paris I went to Rome (new post about that coming soon) and had a pretty stressful time getting back to Ireland. This week has just been so busy so I’ve put off writing another post, but now I’m back!
One of the main things that Jamie and I wanted to do while we were in Paris was see the catacombs. If you don’t know what the catacombs are, they’re basically a network of old caves and tunnels underneath the city of Paris, lined with the bones of over 6 million people. We finally made it to Paris! And get ready for loads of pictures because this place is beautiful! Jamie and I both flew in on Saturday, and decided that we would check in to our Airbnb and use the evening to just chill out and adjust to Paris! We found a super market near our apartment so we stocked up on a few things for the week. For dinner we had pizza at a nearby restaurant and it was so good! After that we went back to our apartment and caught up on some sleep (it’s only an hour difference from Ireland so I wasn’t too bad, but the 8 hour difference for Jamie was definitely taking its toll)!
