While I was in Belgium I decided to take a day trip to Brugge. Brugge is basically Belgiums best preserved medieval town that looks like something straight out of a fairy-tale. I can’t even explain how cute it was! I felt like I was walking through the set of a Disney movie the entire day! Continue reading “Ascension Day in Brugge”
Here I am again, a few weeks late! The past week and a half I’ve been away traveling and decided to leave my laptop at home. So now I’m back, and I figured I’d catch up on the loads of blogposts I have yet to post! Right after my trip to Paris last month, I had four more days until I had to be back to work, so I decided I’d just hop on over to Italy for a few days! I flew into Rome on a Friday afternoon and decided to do a little tour that night so I could get a bit of a handle on the city. I went on this free walking tour, and it was so nice! It was about two hours long and we just walked around the city and saw a lot of the main attractions and got some good recommendations on food and other things to see. Continue reading “When In Rome”
Hello again! It seems like it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post! Right after Paris I went to Rome (new post about that coming soon) and had a pretty stressful time getting back to Ireland. This week has just been so busy so I’ve put off writing another post, but now I’m back!
One of the main things that Jamie and I wanted to do while we were in Paris was see the catacombs. If you don’t know what the catacombs are, they’re basically a network of old caves and tunnels underneath the city of Paris, lined with the bones of over 6 million people. We finally made it to Paris! And get ready for loads of pictures because this place is beautiful! Jamie and I both flew in on Saturday, and decided that we would check in to our Airbnb and use the evening to just chill out and adjust to Paris! We found a super market near our apartment so we stocked up on a few things for the week. For dinner we had pizza at a nearby restaurant and it was so good! After that we went back to our apartment and caught up on some sleep (it’s only an hour difference from Ireland so I wasn’t too bad, but the 8 hour difference for Jamie was definitely taking its toll)! Continue reading “Bonjour From Paris!”
Today is March 4th. MARCH 4TH!? Where has the time gone? This year already seems to be flying by. I’m trying to make the most out of my travels while I’m here, because I know when I go home I’ve got to settle down a little and go back to school!
A couple weeks ago, my friend Orla and I took a little trip to Romania. We flew into Bucharest, Romanias capitol, and only stayed there one night. The next morning we took the train (my first train ride YAY!!) to Brasov. Continue reading “Running Around Romania”
